About the Department
Department was established in 1984 and headed by many pioneers of urology since then initially it was just a sub specialty of general surgery and now it is been evoluted till the present status of super specialty with continuous and unending devotion to the field by the staff members Since 1984. it was just undergraduate teaching school and within a short span in 1991 we were honored with post graduation courses. Recently in 2020 we were awarded with MCh urology residency seats.

- Mission To avail access and familiarization of all students in the field of endourology ,renal transplant , andrology , onco-urology and reconstructive urology
- To incorporate and effectively implement newer technology in teaching, learning and evaluation to make globally competitive, competent and confident urosurgeons who will engage in ethical practice of the science and art of urosurgery
- To continue to conduct social health camps reaching to the society at their places and the renowned Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan by Govt .Of India
Objectives
_Demonstrate empathy and humane approach towards patients and their families and respect their sensibilities;
Demonstrate communication skills of a high order in explaining management and prognosis, providing counselling and giving health education messages to patients, families and communities.
_Develop skills as a self-directed learner, recognize continuing educational needs; use appropriate
learning resources, and critically analyze relevant published literature in order to practice evidence-based medicine;
_Demonstrate competence in basic concepts of research methodology and epidemiology;
