Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad (Formerly known as Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences) was declared as a “Deemed To Be University” under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development in 2005.

Located in Western Maharashtra against the beautiful backdrop of mountains and valleys, our green, eco-friendly campus is spread over 57 acres. We offer over 145 programs across Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Science & Technology faculties, drawing students from across the globe.

Our NABH accredited 1,125-bed teaching hospital (KH & MRC) provides superspecialty services including Cardiology, Oncology, and a recognized Renal Transplant Unit.

We boast the biggest Neurosurgery Super Specialty Department in India, featuring Asia's first Robotic Exoscope.

Translational Research

A dedicated Directorate of Research manages an annual budget of over ₹3 Crore. Our NABL accredited Molecular & Human Genetics and Lead Referral Labs drive cutting-edge discoveries.

This dedication has resulted in numerous patents, technology transfers, and innovations like the UV 360 Sterilizer.
